Taiwan central bank governor has doubts about cryptocurrencies as payment tools

He joins a chorus of central bankers to have made similar comments this week. We had ECB’s Benoit Couere
comments and the Sweden’s central bank also publishing a
report echoing the same thoughts on cryptocurrencies.
Meanwhile, cryptocurrencies continue to struggle across the board in a follow through from yesterday’s selling after the Google
announcement to ban cryptocurrency ads starting from June.

Bitcoin is now trading at $7,850 levels and yesterday’s decline sees it post fresh lows for the month but more importantly it closed below the 200-day MA (blue line). It doesn’t look pretty from a technical perspective:
