Nikkei 225 closes lower by 0.21% at 22,818.02

Tokyo’s main index closes a little lower on the day

A slow day for Japanese stocks in general but finished well off the lows. Asian stocks aren’t faring all too well, especially the Hang Seng which is down by 1.1% on the day.
