Nasdaq moves above all time closing high

7588.33 high close from May taken out

The Nasdaq just moved above the all time closing high price. The highest close came in at 7588.33. The high traded up to 7590.53 (so far). We currently trade at those highs.   The all time high price was on May 13th at 7637.269.  

PS. As I type, the index is extending the gain and has moved to 7597.93.  It still has room to hit the all time intraday high, but there is more room between the high close at 7588.33. 

PSS  The USDJPY – often a “risk on” pair – is back up testing the highs for the day and the 50% of the move down from the May 21 high at 109.749. The 100 bar MA on the 4-hour comes in at 109.809. The high from last Monday reached 109.82.
