Italy’s Bagnai says government “will do nothing to attack the euro”

Comments by newly appointed euroskeptic senator Alberto Bagnai

Bagnai had in the past advocated for the end of the euro but in the Reuters interview here he stresses that it is not part of the government’s policy. It looks like he’s trying to reassure markets with this move here and reiterates that the market has misunderstood his intentions as well as that of the new government’s.
