If you’re going to go after Amazon… Trump’s online store only pays taxes in two states
Online store only pays sales taxes in two states
In all things Trump, there is hypocrisy.
He’s launched a campaign against Amazon and says it doesn’t compete on a fair playing field because third-party vendors don’t pay sales tax in every state.
It turns out that the Trump Organization doesn’t either.
The WSJ reports that the TrumpStore.com website only collects sales tax on orders shipped to Florida and Louisiana.
The only requires companies to charge sales tax in locations where it has a physical presence. But the Trump store may be in jeopardy on that front because it doesn’t charge sales tax in New York, where the company is headquartered.
