For the US dollar, it’s a Tiger market or a bear market

And it’s not looking like a Tiger market

Here’s a bit of fun ahead of the weekend.

Bloomberg’s Jacob Bourne notes that Tiger Woods has won the Masters golf tournament four times, in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.

In those years, the US Dollar Index has risen 4.34% on average. In the 16 years he didn’t win, it’s averaged a loss of 0.78%.

With the dollar already down 2.7% this year and Tiger Woods 9 strokes off the lead, it’s not looking good for either.
