European stock markets score another weekly gain

It’s been a strong month so far

European equity markets have dwarfed US markets this week. The S&P 500 is slumping today and the weekly gain is down to 0.67% in the S&P 500.

Every main European market gained more:

UK FTSE +1.4%
French CAC +1.8%
German DAX +0.8%
Spain IBEX +1.2%
Italy MIB +2.1%

Some drama in Italian politics late in the week didn’t hurt Italian stock markets at all. The MIB has been strong since the election and is now flirting with the January highs.
