European equities score a small gain Friday to cap a strong week

• Spain IBEX +0.1%

On the week:

• German DAX +1.6%
• French CAC +1.1%
• UK FTSE +1.1%
• Italy MIB +1.8%
• Spain IBEX +0.8%

The euro and pound also gained against the dollar on the week so the gains were compounded.

The DAX hit the best levels since February before fading late.

A rally above that February high would be a green light.
