China press warns trade deal will be off if US imposes tariffs

Official State press Xinhua carries a piece piece over the weekend warning agreements reached between the US and China trade and business will be void if the US implements tariffs and other trade measures,

U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross met Chinese Vice Premier Liu He over the weekend

There have been no fresh trade deal announcements from the meeting

There have been no official Chinese nor US statements issued

The new week is opening up pretty much as the old week finished – further trade war tensions on the horizon. Which will be a negative inoput for ‘risk’.
