China commerce ministry says they are to adjust anti-dumping tariffs
Comments by China’s commerce ministry
- To adjust anti-dumping tariffs on ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol imported from the US and some European suppliers
- Says that tariffs will be effective from 12 April onwards
The companies affected are Dow Chemical, Equistar, Eastman, Ineos, Sasol, and BASF.
These aren’t really new tariffs, but it looks like China is looking to ramp up the levies as part of their response to the US (and whoever that is looking to side with them).
